Hida Free Walking Tour
We, Hida Locals, will give you a free walking tour in Hida Furukawa, Takayama, or Shirakaawgo. This tour is very unique in that you will learn not only about local tradition & culture but also about Japanese society & history.
We would like to make the tour as interactive as possible so that everybody can learn together and so the maximum number of participants are limited to 10 people.
We will cover not only major attractions but also hidden places where only local people know.
We hope by end of the tour you feel like you are a traveler, not a tourist.
To be part of our Free Tour,reservation at least 2 days before your preferred tour date is necessary. Unfortunately it is not possible to participate without a reservation.
Please note that we start accepting reservation one month before a tour date as our guides have full-time jobs.
Reservation is totally free. Please send "Name","No. of people", and "place: Furukawa or Takayama" to the below email by the night before.

Currently our free tours are only in English, we do not offer tours in Spanish or other languages(incl. Japanese). Thank you.
